ITT Lowara pumps up its performance credentials at the 37th Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan

29/03/2010

ITT Lowara had a strong presence at the 37th Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) in Milan, held from 23rd o 27th March. ITT Lowara, part of the ITT Corporation and a world leader in the production and development of pumps, took part with a stand of almost 300 m².

MCE is one of the most important fairs in Europe for the heating, plumbing and sanitary fittings, and climate control sectors. The ITT Lowara stand has been divided into market sectors to underline the vast and complete range of pumps and specific solutions for many applications. These include zones for water distribution, waste water, irrigation, and heating and conditioning (HVAC).

In all these sectors attention has been given to the themes of energy saving and eco-compatibility. Visitors have been drawn to the products and features typically used in these sectors, with a particular focus on ITT Lowara’s latest innovations. Such approach demonstrates ITT Lowara’s guarantee of service and reliability across the entire water distribution process.

The products on display included the new range of Ecocirc® circulators for heating and circulating domestic water in the home. The use of a motor with permanent magnets enables Ecocirc® circulators to achieve energy efficiency class A. In addition, thanks to electronic speed control, it is possible to adapt the operating point of the circulator to the real needs of the system, guaranteeing greater energy saving. This leads to lower running costs and more respect for the environment.

Focus on the environment is also supported by Ecocirc’s harnessing of alternative energy sources such as solar and geothermal power. A working unit of the D5solar circulator with solar panels was on show in the HVAC area.

Other products on display included the new GL drainage pumps, the new PWS box series, and the new GS pressure sets. The GS highly reliable systems are designed for application in schools, hotels and commercial buildings, and are equipped with the new SM30 digital electronic board which improves their performance and ease of use.

As well as this system, the new GV booster series pumps were installed for demonstration. This variable-speed pressure set consists of a maximum of six pumps and from 1 to 6 inverters. These guarantee optimum pressure to suit the needs of the system, with maximum optimisation of energy consumption. The heart of the system is the new SD60 digital electronic board which combines performance, versatility and high technology. Customers will be able to manage the system at arms length, thanks to communication protocols and interfaces supplied as a standard feature.

For the first time, the new 10” stainless steel submersible pump was on show. It offers high-performance characteristics for supplying water from deep wells, pressure boosting and water distribution in civil and industrial systems, water level control, drainage, fire-fighting and irrigation applications.

Also present was the new generation of Hydrovar® variable-speed regulators which are the ideal solution for high-level installations that need completely safety, reliability and optimum performance.

The exhibition highlighted the types of world-class products available to suit the latest building techniques, water handling and treatment, and the disposal of waste water. To respond to the demands of the “water market”, ITT Lowara has focused its efforts on developing and achieving innovative technologies.

Efficient pump control and regulation systems ensure safe, reliable and economic use of water.
